| Kayak paddling is one of the most growing outdoor activities in the world. With the popularity of kayaking grows the need for more safety. To prevent accidents, all SeaBird Designs composite material kayaks have a unique self-rescue system. Many different methods of self-rescue are popular, for example; Eskimo Rolling and paddle floats, however these methods don’t always work 100 percent. This is because these methods do not consideration why people capsize in the first place. If you capsize because of bad weather and with the help of a paddle float, manage yourself inside the kayak again, you will still have to paddle in the same conditions. The risk of capsizing again is big. Therefore, we recommend you to have a stabilizing help, like we have on our composite material kayak. This system also works as a stabilizer if you want to go fishing, take a photo, UV-hunting, swimming at the kayak, change your clothes, eat etc. It makes re-entry on water more. Our system is very easy to assemble even on water. |
